Site Rules

Welcome to the Oasis. I hope you enjoy your stay here and I hope to see some new and some old faces here! The idea of this site was to allow for the growth and encouragement of all levels of writers. This was to also be a safe place where judgement is non-existent and people aren't shamed for who they are.

Now for the nitty-gritty. I know we all don't like rules, but I would like to see you all follow this. These are not only for the site's safety but for yours as well. This is also for comfort of the other role players and writers here.

1 ) Anything that happens on this site will be moderated by myself and any of the mods that I have given the rights to. If there are any issues, please contact myself or them about the issue. Please avoid escalation if possible and contact staff right away when things appear to go out of line. My moderators as well as my fellow admin dakotaawolven, have full right to issue warnings and/or bans if necessary. I will also hear the reasons, and I trust them to tell me what is going on.

~Note- Current Mods are ArkhamOutlaw, GinandArsenic, and Saltcrates. Please show them respect. If there is any issue of them being on other sites and I made them moderators, feel free to send me a message on howrse or through my email. I will be delighted to explain why!


2 ) Foul language is allowed here. I will request however that sexual scenes be fade to black unless you are a part of the mature group and that requires you to be 18+. I will not allow minors to access this area unless there are special circumstances. Furthermore, keep any sort of primarily sex role plays in the mature section. When it comes to foul language, it cannot be directed at other users. If that occurs, I may issue a warning upon you as well.

3 ) I will not allow discrimination here. If you feel uncomfortable with LGBTQ+ role plays, please state that in your search or to your partner. However, if I hear of any sort of harassment when it comes to sexuality or preferred gender, I will give you first a warning, then a temporary ban will come into place. If this continues, you will be banned completely.

4 ) Keep role plays to their proper categories. I do not mind if animals and humanoid role plays are in the same categories but if they're a small group, keep it in the appropriate place.

5 ) When you are looking for role plays, please put it in the search area.

6 ) You can keep your characters on this site in the Storage area. If you don't feel like repeating your creations, then feel free to just reference posts for sign ups. However, if they are a part of the site lore, I will have an application process before they are accepted. I will outline that in the proper area.

7 ) Site wide role plays. These will come up from time to time and will adhere to the site lore that has been created. I will be the moderator of these role plays unless another staff member has created it. Staff will be in control of these and the highest ranks will be to them. However, I will allow other members to take high ranks in these role plays. It will depend on the role player's activity and the conduct they have shown. I would like members to be on the site for a week before receiving a high rank. I would not like to see a role play die because a member took a high rank and disappeared.

8 ) If you have any suggestions for this site in any way, please make use of the site suggestions. They may or may not be used, but all will be considered!

9 ) DO NOT ASK TO BE STAFF. I will add staff members that I know and trust. If an open position comes up, I will be sure to put out a notice for it, and an application process will occur. If there is pestering about the roles, you may be issued a warning.

10 ) IMAGES. No pornographic images on this site. I would prefer to keep it modest when it comes to images. I do not mind what kind of images are used (anime, realistic, etc.) but no pornography.

11 ) All of the site lore is either borrowed from Myths or of dakotaawolven's and I's work. If it is found that any of our lore is being dragged over to other sites, or our maps are being utilized in other places without our permission, there will be consequences. Same goes for the usage of other people's characters.

12 ) Rules are subject to change at any point. If that does occur, I will be sure to send out either a site-wide message or make an announcement for it to notify users about it.
